So many new things!

Most of you have noticed I have been undergoing some changes around here. It’s been kind of hard to ignore, actually. It all started when I realized – gee, I am almost done with the Sacred Hearts MC books. The sequel series, The Sacred Brotherhood, will have A Brother’s Secret releasing next week and then there are only two more books to that series and we’re all done.

Granted, I’ve embarked on The Indigo Knights MC series, and I have around a dozen books planned for it and just finished writing the second in that series – so there’s a long way to go, but I had to ask myself as an author, do I really want to write MC forever?

The short answer is, yeah, LOL, I kind of do, but I do write a little bit of everything and so I was feeling limited, pigeon holed, and it was honestly all my own fault.

So what do I do when something is busted and within my scope to fix it? I call on the professionals. Which, in this case, is Dar Albert, my cover art, and go-to graphic designer.

I took my happy ass up to see her in person and we sat down and made a plan. You know me, I tend to haul ass when a plan is in place, and we started at the beginning. How did I want to be represented as an author?

Truth? I have been doing this a while at three going on four years, and I honestly didn’t have a clue. I kind of figured that “I want to write books and be left alone” wasn’t exactly going to be a very functional or welcoming tagline so I did what any author does best. I asked questions.

The answer to those questions left me with three little words that actually jived pretty nicely. “You write real, relatable, romance.”

Boom. New author logo was born:

Why stop there though?

I figured if I was going to do this whole author re-branding thing, I might as well go for the gold, right? So we had pizza, I skipped the beer because I had to drive home, and we came up with some new covers for the first seven SHMC books.

We started with Shattered & Scarred and Broken & Burned because they were already out in audio book and we figured because it takes ACX so long to change out cover art (typically up to three weeks) we would start there and change the cover out on Amazon and on the website as the new cover came up on ACX.

Well, someone over at ACX & Audible had their Wheaties this morning, because we petitioned for the covers to be changed last night and Shattered & Scarred has already gone live on audible!

I really love how this turned out and I am super excited for the rest. I don’t want to overshare, I mean, this is apt to cause a lot of excitement. So as soon as ACX gets with the program on Broken & Burned, I’ll let you guys know. For now, let’s just all kick back, enjoy Dar’s genius and enjoy the view that is Trigger as played by Thomas here, because damn. That is a really nice view.

Please, by all means, let me know what you guys think.

Love you all,

XoXo

A.J.
